Centre of Excellence in Bacteriology of the University of Geneva
Bacteriology is the basic science in all fields of life sciences. Bacteria are major players in ecology and are involved in a huge number of industrial processes. The emergence of new infectious diseases as well as the comeback of ancient terrible bacterial illnesses reminds every day the importance of bacteriology.

In order to respond to the microbiology challenges of this XXI century, bacteriologists from the University of Geneva joined their strength and know-how in a Centre of Excellence in Bacteriology of the University of Geneva, called CEBUG.
